I'm Ellie. Founder & Artist behind Gentle Ink.

Art was never something I chose. It chose me. Long before I knew what permanent makeup was, I was a kid with a pencil completely consumed by faces! the way light falls differently on every cheekbone, the exact curve of a lip, the tiny details that make one face unlike any other. I was self-taught, obsessive about it and I never stopped.

In 2016 I turned that obsession into a career, starting with body tattooing in portrait realism, black and grey and micro-detail work. The kind of tattooing that doesn't forgive mistakes. From 2016 to 2018 I trained extensively in Turkey studying under some of the most respected artists in the industry and absorbing different techniques, different perspectives and different levels of mastery.

Then came permanent makeup and everything I'd spent years perfecting in fine art and body tattooing translated directly into this. The micro-precision, the symmetry, the ability to read a face and know exactly what it needs. It all clicked.

That's what makes Gentle Ink different. Most permanent makeup artists come from aesthetics or beauty. I come from fine art and tattooing and that's a completely different level of eye, hand and attention to detail.

I'm a perfectionist and I genuinely cannot help it. Every session I'm mapping, studying and refining, making sure what I put on your face isn't just close. It's exactly right.

But the work is only half of it. Every woman who sits in my chair is trusting me with something deeply personal, her face, her confidence, how she sees herself every morning. I don't take that lightly. My goal has always been to make you feel genuinely seen, heard and taken care of from your very first message to your last touch-up.

That's what Gentle Ink is. That's what I'm building here.
